I have 120,000 double opt in email contacts which are now surplus to requirements.

These aren't the usual list broker rubbish, these are people who have signed up to recieve business briefings.

They are new and fresh and all generated in a ligitimate and ethical manner.

I use icontact to deliver html emails, but there are others out there and the greatest thing ever is that you can see online as soon as someone has opened the email, so you can call them whilst they are hot!

I am by no means an expert in this field, but we carried out a campaign to drive awareness in a project that we were conducting. After researching the market and finding out that marketing agencies charged about 50p per email including targeted data.

Instead we used goldmine to strip out all of the contacts that we knew accross the business and developed an html email for delivery by a web based system. I used icontact, largely because I found it easy to edit the html (I'm no programmer but it is literally drag and drop), but there are plenty of other out there, signup.to always get a great press. with icontact you get a free trial so you can play around for a while if you wish.

By sending the emails in two batches you can keep the cost down to about £70 a month. We found that the best thing to do was to send the emails once a week, although i get one from glenfiddich and tesco every day.

The greatest thing about icontact is that you can see online the minute the email is delivered and opened, how many times it was opened, who it was forwarded to and where it was flagged, eg facebook / stumbledupon.

So to sum up, we have the data 120k, they are small to medium enterprises and they tend to be either business owners, managing directors or marketing managers. 20,000 are pr agencies and media compainies / graphic design companies.

Just a quick update, I have now added another 68,000 from campaign that we ran for a client on iptv technology. These people haven't been sold to, they signed up and opted in for a webinar and future business offers.

To maintain the integrity of the data I would like to sell the list to just one person on an exclusive basis.
