If it is for a professional business, hire a professional. It is money well spent.

If you are looking to learn how to build a website for personal use you can start with dreamweaver. A well designed website (one that will be found in search listings) is a very very complicated beast and you should not naively think you can learn how to build one from chat room help.

Never underestimate the power of Wordpress. Its a simple tool and can create some fantastic sites with little knowledge. It's can be set up with one-click installs from some hosting companies.

Here are some basic ways on how to create website:

Choose good domain
Think unique and good design
Pick an in demand products that you want to sell
Then much better to give advice to an expert.
